For 33 years, members of the Peoria, Ill., community have been driving to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis to make the 465-mile run back to Peoria – all to raise funds for the kids of St. Jude. Home to the first St. Jude affiliate since 1972, Peoria has been a source of incredible support for St. Jude over the years. This year was no exception. For the first time ever, the Memphis to Peoria Run raised more than $1 million. When combined with funds raised through 34 additional satellite runs to Peoria, this amazing event raised $4.1 million this year. St. Jude Runs unites long-time St. Jude supporters, St. Jude families and St. Jude staff in what has become an extended family who make this grueling journey for the kids of St. Jude. Since it began, the event has raised nearly $36 million for St. Jude.
