The mission of Biomedical Communications (BMC) is to provide St. Jude faculty and staff professional-quality imaging services.


The BMC Art department works with St. Jude faculty and staff to provide quality illustrations and schematics (traditional or computer-generated), visual representations of data (charts & graphs) in a variety of styles and formats, graphic design work for printed pieces, and file imaging to create slides or glossy prints.


BMC Photography department offers St. Jude faculty and staff  professional-quality photographic services, including medical and scientific, studio, location, and copy photography, and a full range of photo lab services.

Copy Center

The BMC Copy Center provides St. Jude and ALSAC staff with fast, high-quality, and cost-efficient copy services. The center offers the latest in both black-and-white and color digital copiers.

Print Shop

The BMC Print Shop offers full-service printing and bindery services to St. Jude and ALSAC. The Print Shop produces an array of printed material, from stationery, envelopes, business cards, and forms to brochures and newsletters. Available bindery services include stapling, hole-punching, and spiral binding. The Print Shop also offers paper cutting and laminating.


BMC offers video production services to St. Jude and ALSAC. These services include pre-production planning, videotaping, and postproduction editing. BMC also offers videotape and audiotape duplication.

Media production services

BMC provides quality A/V support services for the conference and meeting areas throughout St. Jude. Our services include maintenance of permanent equipment, setup and breakdown of digital projection or conferencing equipment, and projection services. A/V equipment is available for checkout and use by St. Jude staff within the St. Jude campus.

Interactive videoconferencing services are available to the staff of St. Jude. Videoconferencing enables you to see, hear, speak, as well as share documents and other information with other institutions in various locations in a real-time meeting environment. Videoconference transmission is possible utilizing dedicated ISDN lines or over Internet protocol. Contact BMC about additional details, including fees for transmission and equipment rental.
