Since its inception in 1999, Jewelers for Children has helped to ensure that the critical research St. Jude Children's Research Hospital conducts continues.
Jewelers for Children endowed the Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic at St. Jude in 1999, and since then almost 900 children have received bone marrow transplants. Additionally, Jewelers for Children has funded the St. Jude Stem Cell Transplantation Laboratory, the St. Jude chair in Genetics and Gene Therapy and immune system regeneration research.
Through fundraising events and initiatives such as holiday card sales, Jewelers for Children increased its annual giving to St. Jude by 40 percent in 2013. Jewelers for Children is currently working to fulfill a $3.5 million commitment to Bone Marrow Transplantation and Research.
St. Jude is grateful for Jewelers for Children’s ongoing dedication and support of the medical research and breakthroughs helping children all over the world.
